Theatre Blogger Week is an initiative originated on the Musical Verse blog in September 2010.

The first ever Theatre Blogger Week is taking place NOW in October 2010

The week has these possible aims:

  • To encourage more theatre bloggers to comment on each others blog posts.
  • To unearth more theatre blogs which are out there so that we can all discover new theatre blogs to visit.
  • To raise awareness of theatre blogs in the wider blogging and theatre worlds.

The Recommended Theatre Blogs

  • A Younger Theatre "AYT has grown very quickly from being hosted on a wordpress.com blog to it’s own hosting today. It has fantastic reviews and features and is a brilliant resource for any young person interested in theatre."
  • West End Wendy "West End Wendy is a relatively new blog (to me at least) but it has a very promising posts and the passion really shows through."
  • West End Whingers "I couldn’t make a list of theatre blog recommendations without mentioning West End Whingers – their reviews are priceless and not to be missed."
  • Epistemysics "Basically, he is mental, but in a good way."
  • The Producer’s Perspective "It’s fascinating stuff, and there’s something for any professional to learn."
  • Everything I Know I Learned From Musicals "One of the most influential theatre blogs online,[...] always beautifully written and very readable."
  • There Ought To Be Clowns "Ian is, without a doubt, a force to be reckoned with. Whilst we might have conflicting ideas as to what makes a show good, his points are always valid and beautifully, yes beautifully written."
  • Thompson’s Bank of Communicable Desire "clarity and clearly thought out arguments" "and his writing is actually a joy to read."
  • Distant Aggravation "I love her honesty when it comes to writing, and reviewing. She tells it like it is, and should be"
